In 2015, we got a recall notice for our passenger-side Takata airbag. No fix available.
In 2016, they tell us they have a fix and I get it down while I flew to a wedding in California.
In 2018(19?), I get a new recall notice saying our replacement airbag will not deploy. No fix yet.
Finally, last week we get the above notice. The new-new is available which will replace the new airbag which replaced the old airbag.
Call the dealer. “Oh, I don’t think we have any parts yet...” Nice guy, though.
Oh, okay. This happened last time, too. So I’m not even upset; just amused. The car’s been running great since my last kerfuffle so I’ll wait.

Guy just called me back, says the parts will arrive in three weeks.

On my 2000 BMW, I have been getting BOMBARDED with email telling me GET IT FIXED NAAAAOOOO OR DIIIIIIEEEEEEE. At least one letter per week for nine months. No joke.
Got it fixed 2 months ago (I don’t drive it much and want the dealer to keep their dirty paws off of it).
Did that stop the letters? No, sir, it did not.
And yes the dealer tried to get me to say yes to $1000 in repairs (on a $3000 car).
